User roles & privileges

Being able to control access to every level of project files is of the utmost importance to our users. At the same time, we recognize the flexibility of access that many teams need to collaborate widely and efficiently.

To meet both priorities, users of each Smartvid.io organization can be assigned various permission levels, or user roles, within a project. The table below outlines all the possible user roles, and the privileges given with each.

User Role

Owner

  • Can create, edit & delete users from the organization
  • Can manage privileges and content over all projects and users
  • Can change organization’s profile and settings
  • Can manage billing & subscription settings

Org Admin

  • Can create, edit & delete users from the organization
  • Can manage privileges and content over all projects and users
  • Can change organization’s profile and settings

Project Admin (Can Manage)

  • Can create, edit & delete users within individual projects
  • Can manage project member privileges
  • Can manage project content
  • Can manage project profiles and settings

User (Can Collaborate, Can Manage)

  • Can be given the option to manage project member privileges
  • Can be given the option to manage project content

Guest (Can Receive, Can View, Can Contribute)

  • Can only view and collaborate on content as it is shared by existing members.
